This Year is going to be an exciting Shivamoon Year, The Shivamoon moves it base from Germany to beautiful Hungary, And also has a new Website Domain: www.shivamoon.net
We have a special permit for the nature reserve area where the festival is being held, near to Dunaremete in Hungary. The nearest town is called Mosonmagyarovar where you will find supermarkets (such as LIDL) and other shops. You can pay in Euros generally in Hungary.
The natural beauty at the festival site near Dunaremete is truly stunning. It's close to the River Danube, which marks the border between Hungary and Slovakia. The Danube divides into many offshoots, creeks and lakes as it runs through the valley here. One of these offshoots passes close to our site. It's safe for swimming, rafting and boating - so be sure to bring along something that floats and you can relax in the pristine water. However, since our festival location is in a nature reserve and it is not permitted to take a bath or wash clothes in the waters, since detergents and soaps would otherwise contaminate it. The locality is also ideal for a camping holiday and so is perfect if you wish to take a vacation or simply extend your stay in Hungary and tour around it, beyond the long-weekend of the ShivaMoon Festival. Camping is free at the many nearby campsites in the Danube valley.
We are celebrating the ShivaMoon Festival for the first time outside Germany this year. Of course, everything is new to us as you can imagine, so we also also thought it appropriate to break new ground with a new international website as well as revising the party layout and decoration. Apart from our traditional trademark symbols of the pyramid and moon soundstage. All the old decoration has been lost or given away, but in it's place will be some fresh new wonders to delight you. The oriental market will also be much more international.
